Job Summary:
The position is for an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) operating in a healthcare facility in Burlington, Vermont. This assignment involves floating to various ICU units including SICU, MICU, and Miller 3/4. The RN will care for critically ill patients with conditions such as cardiovascular issues, COPD, stroke, and sepsis. The shift is scheduled for nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026, and the assignment will last approximately 13-16 weeks.

• Schedule: Monday through Sunday; no block schedules; bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours

• Required Qualifications:
  • AHA BLS (American Heart Association Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) prior to start
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a large, teaching healthcare facility
  • Experience with post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, neurosurgery
  • Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
  • Prior travel experience required
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification preferred
• Additional Information:
  • Nature of work involves floating across SICU, MICU, and Miller 3/4 units
  • Knowledge and experience with neuro ICU procedures including coilings, EVDs, lumbar drains, A-lines, Swans, and balloon pumps
  • Must be flexible to work 2 out of the 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
  • Must have reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle) due to limited public transportation availability in the area
  • No schedule requests can be accommodated; flexibility is required
  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained, and complete work history documentation is required for submission
