What You'll Do

• Assist with surgical procedures, including wound care, vessel cauterization, suturing, and hemostasis
• Support patient positioning, suctioning, irrigation, and drainage during surgeries
• Manage intraoperative and post-operative patient care on surgical floors
• Participate in rounding, discharge planning, and managing patient orders
• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
• Cover scheduled shifts and provide weekend/on-call availability as needed
• Maintain documentation via EPIC and adhere to hospital policies

What You Need

• Current NY State Nurse Practitioner License
• Suitable certifications (AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS, RQI/ABLS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years recent surgical NP experience
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Epic EMR experience
• Board certification
• Experience with adult acutely ill patients in a hospital setting
