Maintenance Mechanic IIMaintenance Mechanic II | Hiring Immediately | Hazleton, PACompensation: Starting pay rate $29.98 per hour - $1 differential for evening shiftAvailable Shift: Nights (4:30pm to 2:am) Mon - ThursKey Job Requirements:Diagnose and repair faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum amount of supervision using the provided schematics, manuals and drawings. Be able to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical problems, troubleshoot electrical problems and have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategiesIdentify faulty parts and provide proper nomenclature in the form of a requisition in order that spares or replacements can be orderedBe knowledgeable of what and where spare parts are in the storerooms and to observe store rooms withdrawal and return procedureGeneral working knowledge of machine shop equipmentMust be team-oriented with leadership qualities and capable of leading co-workers in assigned tasksWill be expected to maintain necessary records and established maintenance proceduresMaintain a clean, safe working environmentResponsible for additional specific duties related to each shift as assigned by maintenance supervisorOther duties as necessaryTechnical Competencies:Administrative: Demonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems.Communication/Teamwork:Ability to communicate effectively and work closely and productively as part of a cross-functional teamAbility to create and/or exhibit an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust, and teamworkAbility to multi-task and prioritize as needed without loss of effectiveness and composureSafety: Demonstrates ability to understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies and procedures.Quality: Ability to develop and maintain processes that are ISO compliant.Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates an advanced comprehensive knowledge of entire process from concept to commercialization.Operate Equipment:Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as requiredDemonstrates ability to utilize standard hand toolsAbility to operate basic machine shop equipmentMaintenance/Repair:Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and abilitiesDemonstrates thorough knowledge of production technological methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilitiesEducation & Experience:Three to five years of experience in a related fieldMechanical pretest to employmentHigh school diploma/equivalent requiredCompletion of a vocational or trade school curriculum from an authorized school with a concentration in electro-mechanical courses desiredMust be able to read and use precision type instruments such as micrometers and calipersSpeaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetingsMust be able to pass multi-choice with handwritten section testADA – Essential Functions:Work a 8, 10 and/or 12-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periodsClimbHeed safety warnings, devices and alarmsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingLift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.Possess an adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment.Company BenefitsWhat You'll Get From UsBenefitsWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
