This assignment will primarily support developmental preschool students across two school locations and includes time dedicated to preschool child-development diagnostic services. Join a supportive team and make a meaningful difference in students’ communication and educational development.Job Highlights:Location: Seattle, WAPosition: School Speech-Language PathologistSetting: In-person, school-based positionSchedule: Full Time, up to 40 hours per weekAnticipated Assignment Dates: December 1, 2026–March 2027Specific end date is to be determinedStudent Population: Predominantly developmental preschool studentsResponsibilities:Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and diagnostic assessmentsProvide individualized and small-group speech and language therapyComplete preschool child-development diagnostics, primarily related to articulationDevelop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Create measurable goals based on students’ individual communication needsProvide developmentally appropriate services to preschool-aged studentsSupport students with articulation, speech, language, social communication, fluency, voice, and augmentative communication needsTrack student progress and maintain accurate service documentationPrepare evaluation reports, progress reports, and other required recordsParticipate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team planningCollaborate with the other assigned SLP, teachers, families, administrators, and related service providersProvide communication strategies and consultation to classroom staff and familiesEnsure services comply with state, federal, and district requirementsQualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and DisordersValid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain oneValid Washington Educational Staff Associate certificate or eligibility to obtain oneCertificate of Clinical Competence preferredClinical Fellows are welcome to applyMust have current fingerprints on file with OSPI or be willing to completeMust provide at least two supervisory referencesExperience with preschool students, articulation evaluations, or school-based services preferredStrong assessment, communication, documentation, organization, and collaboration skillsBenefits & Perks:Paid Sick LeaveHealthcare Benefits*401(k) with company matching*Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional developmentW-2 employee status with liability insurance coverageReferral bonusesNo non-compete clause(*Healthcare benefits available for 0.8 FTE or higher after a short waiting period)Why Work With Ampersand Therapy?Ampersand Therapy is a local, women- and therapist-operated company founded by providers who understand what it’s like to work in schools.
