Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: Experience with drips required.

Special Requests: Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Will not take travel pairs or part of a travel pair. Prior Marshfield employment must be disclosed. Previous Marshfield workers must have an end date at least 6 months before submission. Cannot guarantee block scheduling. They do their best to accommodate block scheduling but cannot fully guarantee it.

Unit Details: Day/eve nurse:patient ratio 1:4-5; nights 1:6; possible but uncommon 1:7 if working short. Oncology/hematology, general medical, GI bleed, PE/DVT, sepsis, CHF/COPD, pneumonia, FTT, and weakness patient population. No oncology or chemotherapy knowledge required; internal nurses handle treatment needs. RNs titrate drips including insulin, heparin, cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, octreotide, and blood transfusions. Centralized tele techs monitor and read strips; nurses are not required to read their own strips. Monitors are available on the unit for basic rhythm viewing, and RNs are expected to be tele aware. Charge nurse and house supervisor on all shifts. Charge nurse takes a modified patient assignment (days 1:2-3, nights 1:4). Travelers may be asked to step into charge if they are comfortable, especially on night shift. RT is in house 24/7. Unit equipment and respiratory support may include continuous c-pap, bi-pap, and high flow O2.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). 2/3 holidays in winter; every other holiday during other times. No call. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements: First to float, within med-surg units; out of med surg only for observer need or helping hands/tasking; floating done in 4 hour increments.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
