Screens and directs calls; assists caller in locating appropriate staff in a respectful manner. Provides Spanish translation for phone calls and clients.Defuse situations and provide general information to clients on the phone and/or in person; determine need for crisis intervention or immediate attention of the counseling staff and/or the nurse practitioner, and proceed according to proper crisis procedures.Makes and cancels appointments on computer and provides information to customers regarding appointment times.Notifies staff member of visitor/appointment arrival and ensures they receive visitor in a timely manner.Distributes and collects "Customer Satisfaction Survey" forms as requested by Program Directors.Keeps reception, waiting areas, and restrooms neat, tidy and free of clutter.Ensures individual confidentiality at all times.Instruct individuals we serve regarding their right to file grievances.Maintains professional demeanor and behavior; dresses in business casual attire.Ensures supply of intake paperwork is available for multiple programs and resources.Ensures mail is prepared for pickup. Sends all mail, incoming faxes, and miscellaneous items that are received at the reception area to the appropriate staff and/or destination.Takes payments and writes receipts as necessary.Assists with reminder calls as required.
