We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant with strong Accounts Payable experience to join our accounting department. The staff accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing accounts reconciliations, and processing accounts payable. To be successful as staff accountant, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

· Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling subledgers by verifying posted accounting transactions

· Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances

· Keeping track of prepaids, accruals.

· Process payments in a timely matter. Prepare and execute check runs, ACH and wire payments.

· Assist with monthly close processes.

· Perform other general accounting duties as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payables principles.

· Proven working experience as Staff Accountant 5+ years.

· Hands on experience with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs ), and proprietary software (Sage -preferred)

· High degree of accuracy, organization and attention to detail. Good problem-solving and time management skills.

· Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

· Bilingual: English/Spanish, both oral and written
