Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate each client's level of function using a variety of diagnostic methods, including manual muscle tests and assessments of joint and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that focus on improving mobility, reducing pain, and promoting health and wellness.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in executing treatment plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical standards.
• Conduct detailed evaluations of the client's home environment to recommend necessary adaptations that enhance their rehabilitative journey.
• Administer specialized therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities such as traction and massage to support patient recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, contributing to initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with clinical record standards.
• Engage in case conferences as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing insights and recommendations aimed at optimizing comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain an open line of communication with clients and their families, offering guidance on the use of therapy devices and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Submit timely and accurate clinical documentation and billing based on Periscope policies, ensuring streamlined operations within the facility.
• Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development through workshops, seminars, and feedback sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Periscope Physical Therapy, you will serve a diverse patient population ranging from individuals recovering from surgeries and injuries to those managing chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A valid PT license in the state of Virginia is required.
• Current CPR certification is necessary for patient safety and compliance.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in acute care or home care settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
