Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy technician position is available for a 4-month contract in Owasso, OK, focusing on IV/home infusion services. The role requires an Oklahoma pharmacy technician license in-hand and IV certification, with immediate start and assignment through December 31. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Compound sterile infusions and prepare medications following strict procedures.
• Accept and dispense prescription medications while monitoring patient compliance.
• Maintain confidential patient and pharmacy records accurately.
• Provide patient consultations regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Educate patients on the proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address drug-related problems and optimize therapies.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current Oklahoma pharmacy technician license.
• IV certification with compounding experience in infused drugs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients.
• Membership in pharmacy professional organizations is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
