Department Website: Job Description and Duties This position offers a broad range of rewarding legal work for candidates who seek meaningful use of their managerial experience. The Employment Development Department's Legal Office supports EDD's mission of strengthening the economic vitality of Californians and their communities. Under the direction of the General Counsel, the Supervisor II performs a variety of tasks required to accomplish the Legal Office's administrative functions and oversee and manage complex administrative and analytical tasks requiring a high degree of independent action, initiative, discretion, confidentiality, and tact to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of EDD's Legal Office. The incumbent contributes to the growth of the Legal Office by ensuring that the evolving needs of the Department are met through change management principles and workflow design. The incumbent must possess strong management, leadership, and communication skills as they will be responsible for strategic planning, workload management, and leading a team of professional staff.
