Now Hiring: MIG & TIG Welder- 1stShift

Location: Lewisville, TX
Pay: $22.00$23.00/hr. DOE
Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM3:30 PM
Schedule: MondayFriday + Overtime Available
Pay Frequency: Weekly

Ascend Staffing is now hiring experienced MIG & TIG Welders for a sheet metal manufacturing facility in Lewisville, TX that specializes in manufacturing displays and fixtures. This is a great opportunity for skilled welders looking for steady, full-time work with competitive pay and benefits.

Job Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings before beginning projects

• Source and prepare materials according to project specifications

• Measure and cut materials to required dimensions

• Perform MIG and TIG welding to join metal components

• Select the appropriate welding materials and procedures for each project

• Use saws, squares, calipers, and other electrical/manual tools

• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets blueprint specifications and required tolerances

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

• Follow all applicable safety procedures and PPE requirements

Requirements

• MIG & TIG welding experience required

• 1+ Years prior work experience as a welder required

• Experience with a variety of welding equipment and procedures, including TIG and MMA

• Knowledge of welding machinery and electrical equipment

• Experience using manual and electrical tools such as saws, squares, and calipers

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and drawings

• Strong attention to detail and hand dexterity

• Knowledge of applicable welding and workplace safety standards

• Willingness to wear required protective equipment, including face shields and gloves

• Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program required

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
