Sr Accountant

Sr Accountant – ONSITE Raleigh, NC Job Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing complex accounting needs for the company and its affiliates. will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks related to the month-end close, financial statement preparation, inventory management, fixed assets, intellectual property, prepaids, equity, and cash flow management. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and supports the organization’s financial health through diligent cash flow monitoring and cost-saving initiatives. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Understanding and ability to work daily in the company financial ERP system Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team. Oversee Accounts payable and receivable. Assist with audits and taxes. May train, oversee subordinate accounting staff. Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions. Reconcile general ledger accounts. Post monthly adjusting journal entries. Enter vendor bills. Create client invoices. Enter and maintain vendor and client information into financial management system. Monthly closings. Financial reporting. Bank and credit card reconciliations. Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending improvements. Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed. Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines. Must have excellent organizational skills. Must know how to prioritize projects/information. Must have considerable knowledge in basic overall accounting and accounting functions. Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Power Point. Key Competencies NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, and/or other financial ERP system experience.
