Trade settlement analyst

Join a leading company in the Commercial Food Service and Manufacturing Industry that produces and distributes frozen food products globally. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to manage our clients customer trade settlement processes. See the description below and apply with your resume upon interest. Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with at least two years of relevant business experience required.
• 2-3 years of business, accounting, finance, banking, trade settlement, accounts receivable, deductions management, or related experience.
• Experience managing projects, deadlines, or high-volume transactional work environments preferred.
• Experience working with customer deductions, claims processing, trade promotions, or settlement activities is highly desirable.
• Excel and technical skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Consistency and efficiency in managing high-volume transactions
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, data analysis, reporting)
• SAP experience preferred
• Experience with trade management systems such as Blacksmith Trade Solutions or similar platforms preferred
• Experience working with customer portals and financial systems is a plus

Responsibilities

This role concentrates primarily on processing customer Trade deductions and disbursement requests along with non-trade transaction processing and resolution of pricing claims.

• Manage Trade Settlements: Oversee disbursements and customer deductions, including validation of the settlement and resolving discrepancies with the customer.
  
  
  • Fulfill Trade Program commitments via deduction clearing, payment by check, or preauthorized credits.
  • Obtain proper approvals and ensure settlements are accomplished within defined performance targets and system accruals/validations.
• Deduction Resolution & Recovery: Research and resolve pricing deductions for all US/C sales divisions.
  
  
  • Focus on the recovery of invalid customer deductions and the rejection of invalid customer claims.
  • Work to convince customers to change their position and repay invalid deductions previously taken.
• Program Support: Work closely with Sales management to implement trade programs payout in support of defined strategies and maintain proper support of trade settlements.
• Reporting: Assist with the measurement and reporting of program attainment and effectiveness, when appropriate.
• Non-Trade Claims: Assist in the resolution of non-trade related claims, specificallyFines and Fees.
