Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in school-based services, working with students across two school sites near Schaumburg, IL. This full-time, itinerant position begins August 27, 2026, and extends through June 9, 2027, offering you the chance to positively impact students while collaborating within a dynamic educational environment.
Utilize your bilingual Spanish and English skills to serve diverse student needs, supporting language development and communication for a varying caseload primarily averaging 45 students—a manageable workload well below the state’s maximum. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will engage with students across a range of age groups, providing assessment, intervention, and consultative services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- IL Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Illinois SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Travel between assigned schools to deliver speech/language therapy
- Provide direct, consultative, and collaborative speech therapy services
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Track progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Work closely with families, teachers, and other school professionals
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
