Principal Software Engineer - Mission Systems

Salary: $164,000 - 292,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent is required.
• More than 10 years of professional experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada.
• More than 10 years of experience across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and test.
• At least 5 years of experience using software development and testing tools such as editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulations, configuration management tools, and requirements management tools.
• Experience with software lifecycle practices, agile methods, and repositories such as JIRA and Git.
• Experience developing or testing real-time integrated avionics hardware/software systems for high-performance aircraft, spacecraft, or similar platforms.
• Experience with embedded software architecture, development, and design.
• Experience developing on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Experience with open architecture standards such as Open Mission Systems (OMS).
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, with an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance required after start.
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements and be a U.S. Person.

• We develop technical designs and implement Operational Flight Program (OFP) code solutions.
• We provide technical direction and oversight for the F-15 Mission Computing OFP code development approach.
• We work closely with F-15 Software Architects to shape preferred approaches for future Mission Computing architectures.
• We build and sustain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
• We lead and guide a team of engineers in day-to-day work to develop and maintain mission computer solutions for current and future customers and hardware configurations.
• We support software solutions that deliver capabilities to the warfighting customer.
• We contribute to the design, code implementation, and testing of OFP software, while also supporting system and subsystem requirements development.

We are Boeing, and we are looking for an F-15 Real-time Principal Software Engineer - Mission Systems to join our Mission Systems Software Team in Berkeley, Missouri. Our team develops real-time embedded Operational Flight Program software for the F-15 Mission Computer, integrating with avionics subsystems such as radar, weapons, and sensors, and creating crew vehicle interface displays. This is a 100% onsite role on first shift, with travel under 10% and relocation available based on eligibility.
