Accountant

Our client, a globla media company, is looking for an Accountant to join their team! This will be a hybrid role working out of their office in San Francisco. The successful candidate will have a background in revenue accounting, the ability to manage and meet tight deadlines, and posses strong problem-solving skills.

Role Overview:

• Contract Role: 8 months
• Pay:$36-39/hr W2 (No C2C)
• Schedule: Hybrid until September then transitions to a fully onsite role, M-F 9AM to 6PM with an hour of unpaid lunch

Responsibilities:

• Review contracts to ensure revenue recognition is booked accurately
• Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, revenue recognition, and accruals
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Research and respond to inquiries on revenue variances
• Assist with quarterly SOX, internal, and external audits
• Resolve sales order data ingest exceptions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting for Finance is required
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Knowledge of revenue recognition / accrual accounting
• Experience working in the advertising, media, or entertainment industry is preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using Oracle or another large ERP system is required
• Salesforce or Operative-One experience is a plus
