Group Landev (GLD) | Hybrid — Fort Lauderdale, FL (South Florida) | Base salary + performance bonus

Group Landev is a South Florida general contractor specializing in the restoration of existing buildings — concrete and structural restoration, post-tension repair, waterproofing, building envelope, balcony restoration, and garage rehabilitation on condominiums, multi-residential properties, structural parking garages, and commercial buildings. We compete on technical competence and risk management, not price alone.

We're hiring one person to own our entire bid pipeline from opportunity to award. This isn't a support role — it's a revenue position. You'll find the work, price it, submit it, and chase it down, reporting directly to ownership with real autonomy over pricing strategy and go/no-go decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously source bid opportunities from GC invitations to bid, plan rooms, bid boards, and public procurement portals, and build direct relationships with precon/estimating departments at GCs and construction managers active in our market.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, engineering reports, milestone inspection reports, and specifications for concrete spall repair, post-tension repair, structural repair, waterproofing, coatings, balcony, and garage work.
• Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier pricing, and build unit pricing, allowances, and contingency logic that account for hidden and unforeseen conditions — the largest source of financial risk in restoration work.
• Prepare complete, compliant bid packages: forms, acknowledgements, addenda, references, licensing, insurance, and bid bonds, working backwards from every due date.
• Issue RFIs during the bid period to clarify scope gaps before pricing is locked.
• Follow up on every submitted bid until an outcome is confirmed; attend scope reviews and post-bid meetings; negotiate scope and terms with ownership's support.
• Hand off awarded projects to project management with a complete, documented turnover — estimate basis, assumptions, exclusions, subcontractor pricing, and correspondence.
• Report weekly on pipeline, bids in progress, submissions, and outcomes; track hit rate and contribute cost history to our estimating database.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years of estimating experience with a concrete restoration, structural repair, or building envelope contractor. Vertical new-construction estimating alone is not a substitute — restoration pricing is a different discipline.
• Demonstrated experience bidding to general contractors and construction managers in South Florida.
• Proficiency with digital takeoff and bid management software (Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or equivalent) and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and engineering repair documents.
• Proven ownership of bid deadlines with a track record of complete, on-time, compliant submissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable on the phone with GC precon managers.
• Candidates must live within commuting distance of South Florida — this role includes pre-bid site walks, scope reviews, and GC meetings across Miami-Dade and Broward.

Preferred:

• Bilingual English / Spanish.
• Experience with public bidding in Florida — Miami-Dade County, Broward County, municipal, school board, housing authority, or FDOT work.
• Working knowledge of contractor prequalification and small/local business certification programs (SBE, CBE, DBE).
• Familiarity with Florida milestone inspection and structural integrity reserve study requirements, and the repair work they generate.
• Post-tension repair experience.
• Existing relationships with structural and restoration engineering firms in the market.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
