Litigation Paralegal

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant Paralegal to support attorneys and paralegals in a busy civil litigation and insurance defense practice. Prior experience in insurance defense is required. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide litigation and case management support to attorneys and paralegals handling insurance defense matters.Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files and ensure documents are accurately filed and readily accessible.Prepare, review, organize, and manage legal documents, correspondence, and other case-related materials.Request, follow up on, track, and organize medical records, business records, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.Assist with preparing, issuing, and processing subpoenas and related documentation.Coordinate and assist with scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, examinations, meetings, and other litigation-related events.Maintain calendars and accurately track case deadlines, court dates, discovery deadlines, and other important dates.Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, experts, and other outside parties.Assist attorneys and paralegals with day-to-day case administration and litigation preparation.Perform administrative and organizational tasks necessary to keep matters progressing efficiently.Assist with additional legal, litigation, and office projects as needed.Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive case information.QualificationsPrevious experience working in insurance defense is required.Prior experience supporting attorneys in a civil litigation practice is strongly preferred.Experience as a litigation assistant, legal assistant, paralegal, or junior paralegal is preferred.Working knowledge of civil litigation procedures, deadlines, and case management practices.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases, assignments, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard legal office technology.Strong work ethic, professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn.Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Work Environment & ExpectationsFull-time, in-office position.Based in West Palm Beach, FL.Compensation & BenefitsComprehensive benefits package for eligible full-time employees.Health, dental, and vision insurance options.Supplemental insurance options.Paid personal time following the applicable introductory period.Retirement savings plan with employer matching after the applicable eligibility period.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.Opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and paralegals and build a long-term career in civil litigation and insurance defense.
