Pharmacist Inpatient
This position involves participation in outpatient infusion services. You will ensure the safe and effective use of outpatient infusion medications. You will verify orders for both hazardous and non-hazardous medications. Your role includes evaluating treatment plans in both oncology and non-oncology cases. You will also assess insurance coverage before initiating treatment plans. Patient education regarding infusion medications will be a key responsibility. Participation in managing adverse reactions related to infusion medications is required. The position operates on a block scheduling system with specific patient ratios. You will not be required to float between units or take on-call duties. Experience with the charting system is preferred. Preferred experience includes ambulatory care and compounding. Travelers must have their own transportation for this role.
