Pack's Tavern is looking for an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team in downtown Asheville.We're looking for someone who takes pride in consistency and quality, works well under pressure, and understands the importance of strong communication in a busy kitchen. Candidates should have previous line cook experience as well as experience working expo and coordinating food through the window during service.At Pack's, we believe great food comes from strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a kitchen culture built on respect and accountability. Our Line Cooks are an essential part of delivering the experience our guests have come to expect.What You'll DoPrepare and execute menu items for lunch and dinner service with accuracy and consistencyWork multiple stations as needed during serviceWork expo when needed, helping coordinate tickets, communicate with the line and FOH team, and ensure food leaves the kitchen accurately and efficientlyMaintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistencyKeep your station clean, organized, and properly stockedFollow all food safety and sanitation standardsCommunicate effectively with kitchen team members and managementAssist with prep, cleaning, and closing responsibilitiesTake ownership of your station and contribute to the overall success of the kitchenWhat We're Looking ForPrevious line cook experience requiredPrevious expo/expediting experience strongly preferredComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchenStrong communication and multitasking skillsAbility to stay organized and composed during busy serviceReliable, punctual, and team-orientedTakes pride in food quality, consistency, and presentationAbility to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the positionWhat We OfferStarting pay at $21/hourMedical benefits for eligible full-time employeesPaid Time OffShift mealsEmployee discountsOpportunities for growth within our organizationA supportive, team-oriented work environmentPack's Tavern and The Century Room are family-owned and operated in the heart of downtown Asheville.
