We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hands-on individual to provide both household maintenance and companion caregiving for a 74-year-old gentleman who is recovering from cancer. He is active, independent, and enjoys walking daily, but needs someone nearby to assist when needed and help keep the household running smoothly.

Schedule

• Full-time
• 5–6 days per week (schedule can be discussed)
• Some flexibility for evenings or weekends as needed

Responsibilities

Caregiver / Companion Duties

• Provide companionship and ensure overall safety
• Drive to medical appointments, errands, and outings
• Assist with mobility if dizziness or weakness occurs
• Monitor general well-being and communicate any concerns
• Medication reminders (no medical care required)
• Accompany on daily walks and activities as needed

House Maintenance Duties

• General housekeeping and organization
• Laundry and ironing
• Meal preparation and light cooking
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Coordinate service appointments and deliveries
• Basic home maintenance (changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, minor repairs, etc.)
• Keep the home clean, organized, and well maintained

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver, home assistant, or household manager experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Non-smoker
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Trustworthy, patient, organized, and detail-oriented
• Must pass a background check and provide references
