Restaurant Floor Manager — Tabernacle Steakhouse

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager with a strong presence in the dining room, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to lead a service team with confidence, professionalism, and care.

The Role

Working closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, you will oversee daily floor operations and ensure that every service runs smoothly. Your focus will be on the guest experience, service execution, staff coaching, and clear communication between the dining room, kitchen, sushi, and beverage teams.

The ideal candidate notices the details, anticipates problems, supports the team during busy periods, and follows through.

Responsibilities

• Lead service with an active floor presence, overseeing pacing, table flow, and consistent execution of our service standards.

• Organize staff sections and service assignments, monitor workload, and step in where needed to keep service running smoothly.

• Welcome and engage with guests, recognize returning diners, and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.

• Lead pre-shift meetings and reinforce knowledge of menu items, steak cuts and temperatures, sushi, wine, cocktails, and steps of service.

• Coach staff throughout service, provide constructive feedback, and hold the team accountable with fairness and respect.

• Coordinate with the kitchen, sushi, and bar teams to ensure accurate orders, appropriate timing, and clear communication of allergies and dietary needs.

• Work with the host team to manage reservations, seating, wait times, and special requests.

• Support private dining and event execution by reviewing room setups, menus, guest counts, staffing assignments, and service timelines.

• Ensure the dining room, tables, service stations, and equipment are prepared, clean, organized, and properly stocked.

• Oversee opening and closing duties, accurate check handling, and completion of shift reports and handover notes.

Qualifications

• At least two years of restaurant supervisory experience in an upscale restaurant, fine dining establishment, or steakhouse.

• Strong understanding of steps of service, dining room operations, and guest relations.

• Solid food and beverage knowledge, including wine service; steakhouse and sushi experience are valuable.

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a service team.

• Clear communication, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.

• Strong judgment and the ability to remain composed during busy services.

• Familiarity with Toast, Resy, and 7shifts preferred.

• Availability for a flexible Sunday - Thursday schedule, with most Fridays and Saturdays off.
