Step into an engaging opportunity as a Music Teacher at the K-8 level for the 2026-2027 academic year. Located near Lansdale, PA, this contract role offers the chance to inspire creativity and foster musical growth in young learners. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, this position covers 35 hours per week and spans from late August through mid-June.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• A valid Pennsylvania Music Teacher Certification for K-8 (minimum requirement)
• Willingness to consider out-of-state certification or emergency certification if accompanied by relevant teaching experience
• Previous classroom or group music instruction experience, preferably with K-8 students
• Ability to create and deliver dynamic, age-appropriate lesson plans
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Enthusiasm for fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and delivering music curriculum to students in grades K-8
• Implementing engaging lesson plans that meet diverse learning styles and needs
• Collaborating with general education teachers and school staff
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
• Organizing and supporting musical performances and extracurricular activities

Hourly compensation for this position ranges from $30 to $45 based on experience, certification, and degree level.
