Position Type: Part-Time (Approximately 30 hours/week)

We pride ourselves on fast, friendly service and strong community connections. We are looking for an energetic, dependable Restaurant Team Leader Trainee .
About the Role
Counter Culture in Slidell, LA is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hard-working Team Leader Trainee to join our crew! As a Team Leader Trainee, you will learn the ins and outs of our daily operations while developing key leadership skills to help manage shift flow, support team members, and ensure every guest receives exceptional service.
This position is ideal for someone looking to grow into a leadership role within the restaurant industry. Restaurant or customer service experience is preferred, but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate who brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic!
Key Responsibilities
Learn and master front-of-house and back-of-house daily operations.
Operate POS Systems
Support shift management by opening/closing the restaurant, managing cash registers, and coordinating team tasks.
Maintain high standards of food quality, store cleanliness, and food safety protocols.
Assist in training, guiding, and motivating team members during busy shifts.
Provide friendly, fast, and accurate customer service to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor shift issues with a professional demeanor.
Qualifications & Requirements
Location: Must live locally or be within reasonable driving distance to Slidell, LA.
Experience: Prior restaurant, food service, or retail leadership experience is preferred, but not required .
Availability: Must be able to work approximately 30 hours per week (including weekends as scheduled).
Communication: Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
Attributes: Reliable, punctual, detailed-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Capabilities: Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
