Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Sports Rehabilitation

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at our Rehabilitation Center located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is a full-time position that focuses on providing one-on-one therapy tailored to each patient's unique needs. Work Environment

This position will take place onsite in our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Collaborating with a team of skilled professionals, including three other physical therapists and several physical therapist assistants, you will benefit from a highly supportive environment. The center is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and facilities, such as treadmills, recumbent bikes, and elliptical trainers, designed to optimize patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mobility and function to determine individualized therapy plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions focused on improving motion, strength, and overall functionality.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs that may include manual therapy techniques and specialized exercise regimens.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation and heat application as needed to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Actively monitor each patient's progress and adjust treatment plans based on their evolving needs and responses.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all patient care treatments in compliance with organizational policies.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to align therapies with broader healthcare strategies and goals.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, injury prevention, and optimizing physical activity levels.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass working primarily with athletes and individuals recovering from sports-related injuries. Common injuries include knee pain, lower back pain, shoulder injuries, and elbow issues. Your expert guidance will assist in their rehabilitation process, enabling them to return to their desired activities safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is required.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• A strong foundation in orthopedic practices and proven proficiency in exercise design and manual therapy techniques.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to foster a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with sports injuries and rehabilitative therapies in an outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated skills in electronic medical records (EMR) systems for efficient patient documentation and communication.
• Ability to engage with patients and motivate them through their recovery journey.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
