Vice President and Corporate Controller

ASC Engineered Solutions is looking for a Vice President, Corporate Controller, to join our team in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role will serve as a key member of the global finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of accounting, external reporting, internal controls, financial governance, and finance transformation.This executive will lead a large accounting & controllership organization and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Company's financial information while simultaneously modernizing processes, strengthening controls, developing talent, and enabling scalable growth.The successful candidate will be a highly respected finance leader who combines deep technical accounting expertise with operational business acumen, strong leadership capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to drive change within a complex, multi-site manufacturing and distribution environment.How You Will HelpAccounting & Financial ReportingLead all global accounting and controllership activities across the enterpriseEnsure accurate, timely, and reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportingDrive best-in-class financial close processes focused on efficiency, speed, and qualityOversee global consolidations across multiple legal entities and jurisdictionsMaintain accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirementsEnsure integrity of balance sheets, reserves, accruals, and financial disclosuresLead preparation of audit committee, ownership, and statutory reporting packagesInternal Controls & GovernanceEstablish and maintain a world-class internal control environmentStrengthen financial governance processes, policies, and procedures across the organizationDrive accountability for control execution across all business functionsLead risk assessments and remediation efforts related to financial reporting processesEnsure compliance with corporate governance requirements and regulatory standardsAudit & ComplianceServe as primary executive liaison with external auditorsLead annual audit activities and ensure timely completion of all audit requirementsCoordinate responses to audit findings and implement corrective actionsOversee compliance with federal, state, local, and international financial regulationsFinance TransformationLead initiatives to modernize accounting processes through automation, standardization, and technologyDrive continuous improvement throughout the close-to-report processPartner with IT and Finance leadership on ERP enhancements and future system implementationsEstablish scalable processes capable of supporting significant growth and acquisition activityMergers & AcquisitionsSupport due diligence efforts for acquisitions and strategic investmentsLead purchase accounting and acquisition-related accounting activitiesPartner with years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experiencePublic Company, Private Equity, or large privately held company experienceSignificant experience leading accounting organizations supporting $1B+ revenue businessesDeep expertise in U.S. GAAP, consolidations, and technical accountingExperience leading large-scale audits and managing external audit relationshipsExperience operating in manufacturing, distribution, industrial products, or engineered solutions environmentsDemonstrated success building and leading high-performing teamsStrongly PreferredExperience supporting private equity-backed organizationsExperience executing and integrating acquisitionsExperience leading ERP implementations and finance transformation initiativesShared services
