Job Description
Overview: Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking qualified candidates for consideration of employment as a Building Secretary at Sycamore Creek Elementary. This is a 10.5 month (221 days) position.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Secretarial office experience preferred including general desktop publishing, editing, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills both orally and written
- Experience with a wide range of office equipment
- Typing speed of at least 40 wpm with accuracy and proper use of grammar*
- Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed
- Must be respectful and work collaboratively with peers
- Must be dependable and exhibit a strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain and respect confidential information and situations
- Ability to work well with students, staff and parents of diverse populations
- Ability to assist principal/supervisor in creating a safe, positive, respectful climate
