CTL Engineering is hiring an Accounts Receivable | Billing Assistant !
CTL Engineering ( is an award winning, full service consulting engineering firm with (15) locations across OH, IN, WV, KY, NC, SC, and VA with a rich history over our (99) years in business. We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry.
We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable | Billing Assistant who will play a key role in supporting the billing operations of the accounting department. You’ll leverage your experience in preparing, processing and maintaining billing records, invoices, and other financial documentation.

Highlights:
- The role will be based out of our new Corporate office location in New Albany.
- This role has an onsite work schedule – no remote or hybrid work schedule is offered.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process, and maintain billing records, invoices, and other financial documentation.
- Work closely with the Engineering and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely billing, as well as providing support in resolving billing discrepancies.
- Prepare and process invoices for services rendered, ensuring accuracy in billing rates, project details, and client information.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary billing information and ensure that all billable work is captured.
- Enter billing data into the company’s financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding billing issues, payment discrepancies, and general account questions.
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve billing disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records, client files, and financial documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual billing reports.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and organizing billing-related documentation.
- Supports timely processing of timecards or vendor invoices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics SL).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Abilities:
- Ability to adjust to fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the company.
- Ability to resolve problems.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Education: Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related role, preferably within an engineering or technical environment.
