Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students as a district-wide Occupational Therapist in a vibrant K-12 school district. This full-time, contract assignment provides coverage across four school buildings for the upcoming academic year, allowing you to collaborate with educators and enrich the lives of students from diverse age groups and backgrounds.
As an essential part of the special education team, you'll help foster growth and independence for students with a variety of strengths and needs. Workdays span 35-37.5 hours per week, starting on August 26, 2026, through June 14, 2027, offering you the chance to make meaningful impact throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Active Vermont OT certificate required
- Previous experience as a school-based Occupational Therapist is highly desirable
- Skilled in evaluating students’ motor skills and implementing individualized intervention plans
- Confident communicator with teachers, school staff, and families
- Committed to supporting K-12 learners in multiple school buildings
- Organized and adaptable—comfortable traveling between sites as needed
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy services district-wide for K-12 students across four schools
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy goals within classroom settings
- Develop, update, and monitor student IEPs and documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Provide direct and consultative OT services, adapting as needs arise throughout the year
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving to enhance accessibility and participation for all students
