Legal Assistant - Closings & Foreclosure

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft closing documents and conduct Co-op closings. You will also assist in our foreclosure department. We will train the right person who has law firm experience in closings for the closing part of the job! Compensation:$50,000+ DOE
Responsibilities:- Drafting closing documents related to Co-op transfers (where the firm is the closing agent for Co-ops). NOTE - IF YOU HAVE DONE RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGE CLOSING DOCUMENTS/CLOSINGS, YOU WILL BE QUALIFIED TO PERFORM THIS JOB
- Review lien searches
- Conduct closings
- Work on the plaintiff's mortgage-type foreclosure documents
- Talented communicator and writer
- Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills
- 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Transfer Agent closing experience is a plus
- Seeking an ambitious individual with a strong work ethic
