Business Office Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to oversee the daily administrative and financial operations of our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). This role is responsible for managing billing, collections, resident accounts, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while providing excellent customer service to residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all business office functions, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable
  • Manage Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing processes
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims and follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Maintain resident trust accounts and financial records
  • Supervise and train business office staff
  • Act as a liaison between residents, families, and insurance providers regarding financial matters
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Prepare financial reports and track key performance indicators
  • Collaborate with facility leadership on budgeting and financial planning
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare billing or business office management (SNF experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance billing
  • Experience with accounts receivable and collections in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
