NEEDED: Advance Practice Registered Nurse

LOCATION: 33 NE 4th Street, Miami, Florida 33132

SCHEDULE: 8 HOURS PER DAY, 5 DAYS PER WEEK, EXCLUDING Federal Holidays, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, not to exceed 40 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be certified to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
\n
• Must provide proof of current, active, unincumbered license to practice in the State of Florida.
\n
• Must hold a current BLS/CPR Certification
\n

JOB DUTIES:

\n
• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services
\n
• Take medical histories, examine patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays
\n
• Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications
\n
• Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing
\n
• Attend to medical emergencies
\n
• Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultation, instruct and counsel, and order or carry out therapy
\n
• Emergency consultation to be performed by the contractor in instances where deemed necessary. Perform minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits
\n
• Work collaboratively with the staff physician(s) and consulting physician(s) in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising program plans
\n
• Assist in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to delivery of the health care services
\n
• Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems
\n
• Manages the daily operation of the clinic and conducts daily sick calls; which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluations
\n
• Provides a wide range of emergency services, in the absence of the physician
\n
