Their enthusiasm fuels our mission and the FLIK difference. Job Summary As the Sous Chef, you will lead the Culinary Department for the brand‑new United Club for United Airlines at the IAH Airport. You will supervise prep, cooking, and garnishing of a variety of menu items; develop daily menus; assist executive chefs with ordering and new menu development; and maintain cost controls. This role is ideal for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and account expenditures. Assist in menu planning and creation. Produce and execute catering events. Roll out new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and the culinary team. Preferred Qualifications A.S. or equivalent formal education. Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience. Catering experience. High‑volume, complex food‑service operations experience. Institutional and batch‑cooking experience. Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet. Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs. ServSafe certification (highly desirable).
