31. Job Duties The Consumers who apply to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation often have multiple disabilities and appear at the local office. Clerical staff are the first contact at the local office. They are needed to do the following: Respond in person and on phone calls and ensure information is received in the absence of the counseling staff or when the counseling staff are busy with other consumers; Timely communication on referral services, other relevant information to ensure the consumers receive services without delay; Make appointments for the counselors'/supervisors/ management as needed; Respond and ensure consumer concerns, requests / complaints etc. are heard and addressed in a timely fashion by taking it to the relevant individuals; Clerical help is mission critical for data input onto the MIS system to ensure that swift engagement occurs. Performs other duties as required.

32. Job responsibilities in Brief Answer phones and assist consumers that walk in to the local office. Assists supervisors and counselors with clerical duties related to case loads involving consumers with disabilities. Will be required to learn how to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.
