Failure Investigation Technician I
$20.5 - $23 per hourTandem Diabetes Care
Entry-level position supporting failure investigation of returned insulin pumps and disposable devices in an FDA-regulated environment. Provides technical assistance with electrical and mechanical analysis to determine root causes and document findings for quality trending.
Responsibilities
- Conduct failure investigations on returned insulin pumps and disposable devices; document findings and trends
- Perform verification testing of returned medical devices following approved protocols
- Review manufacturing history and test results to identify lot-to-lot correlations
- Analyze component-level failures and interpret electrical schematics for troubleshooting
- Maintain investigation logs, analyze problem trends, and recommend corrective actions to Quality
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and test equipment
- 1 year technical role experience, preferably medical device manufacturing
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot electromechanical devices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet
- Familiarity with personal protective equipment for biohazardous materials
Compensation: $20.50 - $23.00 hourly base pay
