Work Environment This position is entirely remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while effectively engaging with clients through virtual platforms. Our telehealth facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to facilitate seamless communication. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured schedule even in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their specific care and therapeutic needs. Provide both individual and group counseling sessions aimed at helping clients cope with emotional challenges related to aging. Collaborate with families and staff to educate them about emotional health strategies that enhance the quality of life of seniors. Offer grief counseling services specifically tailored for clients and their families facing end-of-life issues, fostering a safe space for discussion and healing. Document sessions and treatment plans accurately, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements in a remote therapeutic environment. Patient Population / Client Focus This role focuses on providing mental health services exclusively to elderly individuals coping with loss, experiencing significant life transitions, or struggling with age-related mental health challenges. By tailoring approaches to the unique needs of seniors, you will help ensure they receive the compassionate support they deserve. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field. Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting is required. Licensure eligibility by the State of Florida is a mandatory prerequisite for this role. A valid driver’s license in good standing is required to facilitate potential in-person meetings when necessary. Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on establishing trust and rapport quickly with clients. Preferred Experience Previous experience in providing mental health counseling specifically to elderly populations is highly preferred. Background in addiction counseling will be a significant asset, aligning with our holistic therapeutic approach. Demonstrated ability to empathize and provide guidance effectively, alongside strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus.
