Cnc Lathe Machinist

Lathe MachinistWe are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to set up machines and machine complex parts with close tolerances. This role requires proficiency in operating CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill machines with minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesSet up tooling and fixtures on machines using engineering setup drawings.Establish machine origins to fixture and machine the first part to blueprint requirements.Inspect and verify parts for accuracy.Run production parts after setup and establish production standards.Optimize production for maximum output while maintaining quality and blueprint requirements.Perform in-process inspections and benching of parts during machine cycles.Complete all inspection data, SPC charts, and certified operator documentation.Comply with safety standards and guidelines.Maintain good housekeeping during all phases of production.Accurately record detailed transactions of work done in ERP software.Collaborate with Engineering and Quality department representatives to ensure product meets set requirements.Essential Skills4-7 years of CNC Machining experience in a regulated industry, preferably aerospace.Proficiency in setup and operation of CNC machines with excellent attention to detail.Ability to read blueprints.Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED.Support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Adherence to Company Corporate EHS Policy and specific safety protocols, including PPE.Why Work Here?We offer an attractive retirement saving plan with company matching opportunities, excellent health and wellness benefits including a $350 annual wellness allowance, and up to 4 weeks of paid time off. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.75 - $35.25/hr.
