Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our rehabilitation center located in Matawan, NJ. Our facility features modern therapy spaces equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools, ensuring that you can provide exemplary care to your patients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced lifestyle while contributing positively to our commitment to patient wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Administer therapy techniques and modalities aimed at restoring function, enhancing mobility, and reducing pain.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on effectiveness and patient feedback.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in regular communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster an integrated approach to care.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in physical therapy, integrating these into patient care as appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on outpatient orthopedic patients who seek rehabilitation following injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals ranging from post-operative patients to active seniors, addressing a variety of physical challenges while promoting independence and functional mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid New Jersey physical therapist license is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience providing excellent physical therapy services.
• Documented proficiency in manual therapy techniques; experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Impeccable professional background with no instances of board actions or disciplinary measures against the license.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of experience are required, additional experience in specialized rehabilitation programs or certifications in areas such as sports therapy or geriatrics may enhance your candidacy. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and rehabilitation software will be beneficial for efficient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time Physical Therapist role ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
