What You'll Do:

• Provide patient care for complex cases including respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, post-heart cath, and post-arteriogram patients
• Manage patient conditions with RN: 1:3 ratio
• Perform skills such as CVL management, Foley catheter care, tube feedings, arterial line management, and diabetes management
• Titrate drips including Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin (preferred)
• Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, RTs, hospitalists, and support staff
• Document patient care accurately in EMR (Meditech Expanse)
• Float to different units within the hospital's stroke and medical-surgical units as needed
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain professionalism at all times

What You Need:

• Valid Louisiana RN license (or state of residence)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Skills in CVL management, medication titration, and critical patient care
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
