CNC Horizontal Machinist III - Lead

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III (Horizontal - Lead) to provide technical leadership while performing advanced machining operations. This role is responsible for complex setups, process optimization, troubleshooting, mentoring machinists, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Location: Haverhill, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay: $34-$39/hour
Type: Direct Hire
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced setup and operation of CNC horizontal machining centers.
- Lead machining operations involving complex fixturing and multi-axis equipment.
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs and machining processes.
- Interpret complex blueprints, assemblies, and GD&T requirements.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process-related issues.
- Develop and improve workholding and fixturing solutions.
- Optimize setup times, cycle times, and overall productivity.
- Mentor and train CNC Machinist I and II team members.
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
- Experience with horizontal machining centers and multi-axis equipment.
- CAD/CAM experience preferred.
- Proven troubleshooting and process optimization experience.
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
