Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher. This position runs through June 15, 2026, offering full-time hours—40 hours per week across a five-day schedule. You'll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 15–20 elementary-aged students, providing critical support and guidance in a welcoming school setting located near Warren, MI.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification in one or more of the 13 eligibility areas
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in a classroom or school-based setting
• Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation
• Strong collaborative skills to work with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Excellent communication, empathy, and organizational abilities
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Deliver engaging instruction and modify curriculum as necessary to support student access and growth
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions when needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal educational experiences for each student
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, celebrating student successes and discussing areas for growth
