Program Analyst

Summary

You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Executive Support Division (ESD) for the Associate Administrator and Deputy Associate Administrator and report to the Executive Support Division Director with responsibility for providing leadership and continuity within the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience (ODRR) on strategic planning, expert advice, troubleshooting, and assistance on a wide range of assignments.

As a/an Program Analyst at theGS- 0343-13, some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Plan, organize, and coordinate the activities involved in a broad range of assignments in a variety of program areas, such as, but not limited to disaster recovery/ resilience, associated policy, internal controls, and audits, staffing and coordination of strategic planning, and data collection and analysis in direct support of ODRR leadership.
• Assist the ODRR leadership team by ensuring the coordination of significant, critical, and high-priority projects, reports, staffing actions, congressional correspondence, and requests for information from all levels of stakeholders.
• Coordinate closely with senior leaders and managers to ensure awareness and completion of data collection requests and prepares proposed responses to government officials and congressional representatives as requested.

Qualifications

GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:

• Planning, coordinating, analyzing, and evaluating complex programs or initiatives; and
• Managing executive-level taskings, correspondence, and strategic projects; and
• Conducting program and policy analysis; and
• Preparing executive briefings and recommendations; and
• Collaborating with senior leaders and internal and external stakeholders to support organizational objectives and executive decision making.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Generally, time in Non-Pay status as a federal employee is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed above.
