Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Company We are currently working with a rapidly growing energy (oil and gas) company that are looking for an Accounting Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The role is fully office based in Central Manhattan (Chelsea), and they are looking for a progressive candidate with ambitions to become the Senior Manager within the year. The client is a brilliant, global energy company with an annual revenue of over $2 billion. The business continues to grow and is looking to hire a few additional heads to the team to manage the increased workload. The role will report directly into the Global Controller and will oversee the management/consolidation of over 200 different global entities. The company really pushes internal growth and are looking for a new candidate to join this exciting new team! Description Management of the financial close process Review the journal entries, reconciliations, and support schedules for multiple legal entities Inter-company reconciliations, returns and reporting Monthly variance analysis (Actual vs Budget analysis) Budgeting and Forecasting, alongside the financial planning team Process improvement Support the internal and external reporting, assist with audit Oversee analysts responsible for treasury-related accounting, including cash, investments, and related reconciliations Line management of 2-3 Analysts Inventory management Profile Have 5+ years of experience in similar/relevant roles MUST have prior experience working in a global, multi-entity environment Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX and the financial close process Excellent written and verbal communication skills CPA qualification (highly desirable) - completed or studied Keen to grow through the organization Prior experience working across functions and liaising with various business partners Strong process improvement experience Job Offer $130-160,000 Discretionary bonus (approx 20%) 401k plan Onsite Gym Life Insurance Health care Concierge Generous vacation package EEO Statement MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual\'s status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
