Solutions Architect

Role Description

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our team and support our federal customer. The position will be responsible for:

• Assessing and documenting current state architecture
• Developing future state architecture and plans
• Identifying data risks and inefficiencies
• Understanding systems context/flows, SOA's, data services, and architecture governance

The Solution Architect will serve as the senior technical authority responsible for:

• Architecture and modernization strategy
• Cloud infrastructure design
• Overall technical direction supporting a CMS System

This individual will ensure the platform remains:

• Scalable
• Secure
• Cost-efficient
• Aligned with CMS enterprise architecture standards

Support modernization efforts and future innovation initiatives.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in federal technology solutioning architecture supporting complex mission environments
• Proven success in leading large, complex solution efforts in federal health domain
• Deep experience in application modernization, enterprise cloud deployments, secure DevSecOps practices, and cross-domain solutions
• Demonstrated ability to develop architectural artifacts (views, models, roadmaps, diagrams) and guide cross-organizational technical decisions

Requirements

• Experience supporting Federal Health agencies, particularly CMS or HHS
• Understanding of research and development (R&D) initiatives and the transition of innovative technologies into operational mission environments
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional, matrixed organizations without direct authority
• Experience with Medicare claims processing, healthcare transaction systems, or healthcare data exchange platforms
• Knowledge of AWS cost optimization strategies and cloud financial management within large enterprise environments

Education

• Bachelor's Degree required with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information Systems

Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to present proposals and performance data
• Comfortable interfacing at all levels of organization
• Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner

Travel

• This position is primarily Remote
• Willing to travel (up to 5%) occasionally

Environmental Requirements

• Mainly sedentary; in an office environment
• May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
• Flexible in working extended hours
