Communications Coordinator I

The team oversees all campaigns throughout the lifecycle of all HBO and HBO Max Original Programming - including FYC Awards, Original Programming Marketing, Digital Outlets, and Press junkets. The difference between PR team and the Marketing team is that the Marketing team focuses on bringing people to watch HBO Max and HBO, while the PR team focuses on the brining awareness to the shows. What are some of the essential experiences you'd like this person to have ?
The ideal candidate must have strong language and writing skills. This is a job where they will be dealing with high-level talent, so discretion and professionalism are essential. They need to have awareness of media and popular culture. Big bonus if they can name critics and writers. They should be able to name recent entertainment PR campaigns. Strong organizational skills are a must.


The ideal candidate should also have a clear understanding of the digital landscape and the social media campaigns that are attracting the younger generations. They should be flexible with hours as they may be asked to step in to campaigns/events taking place at night or on weekends.
