Manager, HR Business Partner - Costa Mesa, CA

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to business leaders, connecting people, culture, talent, and organizational effectiveness into a unified people agenda that enables business performance. This role supports the Commercial organization and partners effectively across the business to attract, develop, engage, and retain the talent needed to achieve its strategic objectives. The HRBP helps leaders navigate organizational change, strengthen leadership capability, drive talent and succession strategies, foster culture of inclusion, and translate workforce insights into meaningful business outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO: Support the HR lifecycle and partner and work across HR and the business on recruitment, onboarding, employee development and offboarding. Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and employees on performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, compensation & benefits, talent development and succession planning. Support design and implementation of organizational changes, workforce planning initiatives, and talent strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead and support cross-functional HR projects and initiatives, ensuring effective project management, stakeholder alignment, change management, and successful delivery of business outcomes. Monitor employee engagement levels and partner with leaders to develop and implement action plans that enhance engagement, performance and retention. Facilitate Talent Review processes and maintain succession plans and talent pipelines for critical roles. Lead performance calibration discussions and performance review cycles to ensure consistency and fairness. Partner with people leaders to create and action on individual development plans that strengthen organizational capability and support career growth. Collaborate and embed Commercial capabilities and HR behaviors into talent and people strategies. Manage complex employee relations matters and conduct thorough, objective investigations to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Analyze workforce data and HR metrics, translating insights into recommendations that support business decision-making and organizational effectiveness. Maintain accurate employee data with HR systems, and provide reporting, analysis and insights as needed. Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment practices, including conduct, mobility, compensation & benefits, talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, and performance management. PERSONAL QUALITIES – SHARE OUR FOUNDER’S PASSION AND ENTREPRENEURIAL FLAIR Bachelor's degree and 5-7+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably supporting large employee populations and senior leaders. Strong understanding of U.S. labor laws, with knowledge of and exposure to international employment practices within a global business environment. Proficiency in HR technologies and systems, preferably Workday, along with strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
