Logistics Specialist

Responsibilities Include Multi‑Functional Operations: Rotate through material handling, shipping and receiving, and packing departments. Inventory Accuracy: Maintain precise records using ERP/MRP systems to track stock levels and material movement. Shipping Coordination: Prepare outbound shipments using UPS, FedEx, and other specialized labeling systems. Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move raw materials and finished goods. Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and complex packing specifications. Quality Control: Ensure all items are packed according to specific standards to prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction. Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the warehouse flow and suggest solutions to improve efficiency. Education & Experience Required: High school diploma or GED/HiSET. Experience: 2–4 years of experience in inventory control, shipping, or packing within a manufacturing environment . Technical Proficiency Systems: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (experience with IQMS is a significant plus). Software: Skilled in Microsoft Excel , Word, and digital inventory tracking tools. Logistics Tools: Familiarity with shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) and industrial labeling systems. Physical & Environmental Requirements Strength: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods on a manufacturing floor. Environment: Must be comfortable working around active machinery and raw materials. Soft Skills Detail‑Oriented: A "measure twice, cut once" mentality regarding data entry and order accuracy. Communication: Ability to relay information clearly to internal production teams and external suppliers. Problem‑Solving: A proactive mindset geared toward solving logistical challenges on the fly.
