Night time pharmacist

Family Care Pharmacy

Job Description

We are seeking a Night Time Pharmacist to support a long-term care pharmacy from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This role provides full evening-shift pharmacy oversight, serves as the clinical escalation resource, and supervises pharmacy technicians while ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant medication services.

Responsibilities

Verify prescriptions and dispense medications accurately.
Review drug interactions and apply sound clinical judgment.
Provide clinical escalation support during evening hours.
Oversee prescription fulfillment and patient consultations.
Perform medication reconciliation and maintain accurate pharmacy documentation.
Manage controlled substances in accordance with applicable requirements.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee evening workflow.
Manage inventory and complete pharmacy closing procedures while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of experience in pharmacy practice.
Active pharmacist license.
Experience with prescription software and medication therapy management.
Knowledge of clinical pharmacology and drug utilization review.
Experience handling controlled substances and providing patient counseling.
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
