Job Title: Press Brake Operator Job Description
A press brake operator uses a press brake to shape, bend, or cut metal into parts for tools, equipment, and other components.
Responsibilities

• Set up the press brake by reading blueprints, selecting the right tooling, and determining the working tonnage and tool position.
• Operate the press brake by programming it and making test bends to correct errors.
• Inspect the finished product for defects and ensure it meets quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on the press brake and ensure it is stocked with materials.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Ensure there are enough raw materials available.

Essential Skills

• Experience with press brake operation.
• Blueprint reading.
• Programming the press brake.
• Troubleshooting and changeover skills.
• Machine operation including lathe and mill setup.
• Ability to use calipers and tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
