Since its founding in 1974, RMD’s research and development have resulted in breakthrough technologies and products that are utilized in a wide range of scientific fields, from space exploration to particle physics, and from nuclear security and safeguards to clinical diagnoses and environmental research.The HR Generalist updates and maintains the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs and assists in performing day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee communication, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and recruitment.Requirements:Respond to employees’ inquiries regarding Human Resources related questions.Provide recruiting support including scheduling interviews, greeting candidates, ensuring interviewer flow, checking references, and preparing offer letters.Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.Responsible for the on-boarding process including preparing new hire orientation materials, ensuring all the necessary paperwork is completed, enrolling new hires into benefits and providing appropriate safety and anti-harassment training.Administer and maintain the electronic I-9 and E-Verify program, as required.Perform benefits administration tasks such as separation packages, COBRA and the annual open enrollment process.Maintain health and wellness program and activities.Manage the summer Internship and annual Co-Op programs.Administer benefit plans in accordance with plan provisions and legal requirements. Ensures required documents are completed properly, payroll deductions are accurate, and employees are enrolled and terminated from plan(s) on a timely basis. Resolves benefit related issues with providers. Processes monthly bills, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actions. This includes FLSA classifications, OFCCP compliance, EEO and Vets-100A reports and Affirmative Action plans.Create and run reports from HRIS for management, including headcount, audits, etc.Process leaves including FMLA.Work with vendors on worker's compensation and unemployment issues and questions.Manage the company-wide employee communication.Compensation and benefits administration.Plan and execute Company annual events.Provide general administrative support for the Vice President as necessary.Maintain strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalentTwo to five years of Human Resource experience.A familiarity with employment, employment laws, EEO, and employee benefits is highly suggested.Work well in a team environment, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of employees.Professional and articulate in both verbal and written communicationsStrong attention to detail.Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Human Resource Information SystemsWork on and complete projects/assignments independently or with the VP of OperationsProduce and revise procedures and tools that help the growth and efficiency of the HR DepartmentRMD is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor. #J-18808-Ljbffr Radiation Monitoring Devices (RMD)
